9/22/2020 · Although the Shasta Trinity National Forest reopened Saturday after a temporary closure due to “unprecedented” fire danger, dispersed camping and overnight use has been closed in certain areas of the forest surrounding the towns of McCloud, Mount Shasta, Weed, Dunsmuir and Castella.

5/8/2020 · Due to health and safety hazards caused by sanitation issues, all dispersed camping is temporarily closed on Oregon state forests managed by the Oregon Department of Forestry starting Monday, May 11. Dispersed camping areas typically do not have restrooms or garbage disposal, and campers are expected to pack out everything they bring in and properly dispose of human waste.
Come bank fish, float your boat, or do some dispersed camping along the deep wide Klamath at Persido Bar River Access. The access offers a bathroom and information kiosk along with a great spot for a river bank campfire (with a permit of course!).
All campgrounds on the Klamath National Forest are first come, first served with the exception of group camps. You will find a variety of settings at different elevations to satisfy all out outdoor recreational plans. All campgrounds provide campers with a table, a fire ring or camp stove and restrooms. Not all locations have drinking water.
