A Ford five-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch sends power to a 3.07 ratio differential.
A question bought about by curiosity…..I have a 1978 MGB GT , engine runs really well. I also have a 1999 mondeo 2.5 V6 Duratec , drives very well, but worthless due to age and tax costs. I wondered if anyone has any experience of whether the duratec engine can be fitted to the MGB .

The fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in October 1965. Production continued until 1980, although export to the US ceased in 1974. The MGB GT sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina and launched the sporty hatchback style. Didn’t look excessively complex to fit. Bellhousing from a Caterham mounted the duratec to type 9. Funnily enough he’s from Ashford too.
